(GENESEO, N.Y.) – The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball opened the SUNY-Geneseo Invitational with a 3-1 win against the hosts on Friday, November 3. The Tartans are now 19-7 for the season.

- The Tartans won the first set 25-15 before the Knights answered with a 25-19 win in set two.
- The Tartans took set three by a 25-18 score before finishing off a 29-27 set-four win with back-to-back kills.
- Sophomore Elizabeth Schlemmer led the offense with 14 kills.
- Senior Avani Seshiah picked up 12 kills and senior Laura Reichard put down 10 kills.
- Freshman Neha Tummala dished out a season-high 45 assists as the primary setter.
