Thoughts From Mona Yuan:

  • "For our first 6k of the season, I think our team did really well working with each other throughout the race. Having the girls around me, especially during the second loop where you really have to push, helped immensely and made a huge difference in the final stretch. I was definitely grateful that the new course this year was flatter as well. Overall, I had a lot of fun with my team today and am excited to see how we can progress throughout the season."
  • "As a senior, I have a different perspective on each race now and have learned a lot about running cross country since freshman year. Although I mainly focus on the 800m, I feel more confident now stepping on the line in cross country and enjoy running the longer distance. There is definitely still a lot more room for improvement for myself and our team as a whole. However, our girls this year are exceptional and have really raised the standard, which should definitely show at Paul Short in two weeks!"

Up Next:

  • The Tartans will compete again at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Friday, September 30.
