Tartan Women’s Cross Country Ranked 28th in USTFCCCA Preseason Poll

(NEW ORLEANS, La.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team will start the year ranked 28th in the nation by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and begin the season on Friday, September 1 in the Pitt Panther Opener.

The Tartans closed last year at the 2022 NCAA Championships in 30th place after finishing second at the Mid-Atlantic Regional. The Tartans will also start this year ranked second in the region and return four runners from last year's NCAA team.

The Tartans open the season at the Panther Opener hosted by the University of Pittsburgh at Schenley Park on Friday, September 1 at 9:15 a.m.
