Vanessa Pavia/Cori Sidell - Women's Tennis

Junior Vanessa Pavia and sophomore Cori Sidell of the women's tennis team captured the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional doubles title at the University of Mary Washington on Monday, Sept. 28. The second-seeded tandem defeated the fourth seeds 8-4 in the semifinal round to advance to the championship match against the top seeds from Mary Washington. After dropping the first set 6-4, Pavia and Sidell came back to take the final two sets, 6-3 and 6-4.

The pair advance to the national championship which will start on Thursday, October 15 at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina.
