Savannah Xu - Women's Swimming and Diving

Freshman Savannah Xu became the first women's swimmer for the Tartans to win two UAA titles since 2000 when she won both the 200-yard IM and 400-yard IM at this weekend's UAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Her time in the 200-yard event topped her own school record and is now fifth in the nation and was nearly two seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Xu's cut more than five seconds off her 400-yard IM time and is ranked eighth in the nation.

Xu also placed sixth in the 200-yard backstroke and was part of the 400-yard medley relay that set a new school record and is 12th in the nation. Her other swims included the 200-yard freestyle relay, 800-yard freestyle relay, and 400-yard freestyle relay (B).
