(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Fourteen men’s and women’s basketball and swimming and diving Carnegie Mellon University student-athletes were named to a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, nominated by members of CSC, for the fall season. College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) rebranded to CSC in the summer of 2022.

The Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Players honored were selected by their school's Athletics Communications professionals. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore academic and athletic standing.

Academic All‐District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America ballot. First‐, second‐ and third-team Academic All‐America honorees will be announced later this month, following a vote by CSC's membership, which is comprised of more than 3,000 sports information and athletic communication professionals throughout the United States and Canada.
