Pogorelc and Jaeb Named to D3football.com Preseason All-America Team

(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.) – Graduate student offensive lineman Sean Pogorelc (Centreville, Va./Chantilly) and junior punter Casey Jaeb (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine Prep) of the Carnegie Mellon University football team were both named to the 2021 D3football.com Preseason All-America Second Team.

At the conclusion of the 2021 spring season, Pogorelc was named First Team D3football.com All-America, marking the Tartans first All-American since 2017. Jaeb was named to the D3football.com All-South region team while both were a first team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) selection. It was the second straight PAC top team honor for Pogorelc.

Pogorelc is a three-year starter for the Cardinal and Gray and played a huge factor in the blocking upfront. He paved the way for the Tartans, who were third in the PAC in rushing offense last spring.

Jaeb led the PAC averaging 40.1 yards per punt on 14 punts. He landed six of his punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line while five were signaled for a fair catch.

Carnegie Mellon will open its 2021 season on Friday, September 3, with a road contest against Whitworth. Kick is set for 4:00 p.m. PT. The Tartans first PAC contest will take place at Geneva College on Saturday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m.
