Allen Named to the NABC All-District 7 Team and D3hoops.com Region 7 Squad

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Sophomore Justin Allen of the Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team was named to the 2023-24 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-District 7 team and the D3hoops.com Region 7 squad. Allen was named to the second team by both organizations after helping the Tartans reach the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 2008-09 season.

Allen started all 26 games this season and led the UAA in scoring averaging 21.4 points per game while ranking 13th nationally. Allen scored in double figures in 25 of the Tartans 26 contests while recording 20 or more points on 15 occasions and 30 three times, including a career-best 40 points at Washington & Jefferson. The junior became the program's single -season leader in points scored and points per game as he finished the season with 557 points this season breaking the mark of 515 that was held by George Harvey (1976-77).

Allen becomes the first Tartan to receive the honor from the NABC since Ryan Einwag was named to the first team in 2009 and first D3hoops.com honor since Jack Serbin in 2017.
