Men's Golf Cards a 307 at Day of Mercyhurst Invitational

(ERIE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team carded a first round team score of 307 at the Mercyhurst University Invitational Sunday, September 28. The 36-hole event is being played on the par-72 course at Lake View Country Club.
    
California University of Pennsylvania currently is the top team after carding a 295.  Roberts Wesleyan University is two strokes back with a 297 followed by Millersville University in third with a 300.

Sophomore George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) is currently tied on top the leader board after carding a season-best round of one-under par 71 Sunday afternoon.  Seniors Cameron Low (Los Angeles, Calif./Windward) and Justin Fischler (Avon, Conn.) both carded a five-over par 77.  Sophomores Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) and Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./Sutherland) both ended the first 18 holes with an 82.

Carnegie Mellon had one individual enter the invitational, as freshman Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) had a round of 81.

Day two continues Monday, September 29 with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.
