Tartans End Season at Mercyhurst Spring Invitational

(NORTHEAST, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team  placed fifth at the Mercyhurst University Spring Invitational Monday, April 20 after carding a 36-hole team score of 615 (306-309).  Mercyhurst won the event with a score of 601 (301-300) on the par-72 Lake View Country Club.
    
Senior Cameron Low (Los Angeles, Calif./Windward) ended his collegiate career with a two-round total of 151 (72-79) to lead the Tartans at the invitational and tied for seventh-place.  Sophomore George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) carded back-to-back rounds of 77 to end with a 154 while freshman Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) finished with a 155 (77-78).  

Sophomore Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) improved six strokes on Monday from his opening round to fire a 156 (81-75) for the event. Senior Justin Fischler (Avon, Conn.) shot a 163 (80-83) in his last collegiate tournament.

Carnegie Mellon had one individual enter the invitational, as sophomore Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./Sutherland) had rounds of 79 and 77 to finish with a 156.
