Tartans in Third After First Round of Hal Hansen

(DUBOIS, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed at the Hal Hansen Invitational Sunday afternoon and currently are in third-place following the first 18 holes of play.  On Sunday, the Tartans fired a 306 leaving them six strokes behind West Liberty and Mercyhurst. The 36-hole event is being hosted by Clarion University at the Treasure Lake Resort in Dubois, Pennsylvania.

The Tartans were led by junior Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) who carded a two-over par 74 while sophomore Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) finished two strokes behind the junior with a 76.  Junior George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy), sophomore Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) and freshman Austin Lin (Los Gatos, Calif./Archbishop Mitty) all entered the clubhouse Sunday with rounds of 78.

Carnegie Mellon had one individual enter the invitational, as freshman Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia / Prince of Wales Secondary) had a round of 76.
