Men's Golf Ends Fall Season Setting School Record at BSN Fall Invitational

(MT. VERNON, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team completed play at the BSN Fall Invitational hosted by Kenyon College on Monday, October 10 and finished the 54-hole invitational second after carding a school record score of 877 (298-287-292) over the three rounds. The two-day, nine-team invitational was played at the par-72 Chapel Hill Golf Course in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. The host Lords won the event after firing an 875 (296-293-286).
    
There was a four-way tie atop the leader board following 54 holes with a score of 216 which included Tartan junior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy). Muskingum's Luke Janci won medalist honors on the tiebreaker that was the third-round score and Ohio Wesleyan's Adam Armstrong was medalist runner-up followed by Del Bosque. Janci shot a two-under par 70 on Monday while Armstrong carded a one-under par 71 and Del Bosque fired a one-over par 73. Allegheny's Collin Haag finished fourth after shooting a 76 in the final round.

Del Bosque's 54-hole score of 216 ties for second-best in program's history over a three-round tournament.

Senior Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) tied for 10th place after carding a 219 (76-68-75). His score of 219 was the school's fifth-best 54-hole score. Sophomore Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) carded a career-best round of one-under par 71 on Monday to end play with a 222 (76-75-71).
 
Seniors Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Sutherland) and George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) fished within one-stroke of each other. Jennette shot a 224 (79-72-73) while Qian carded a 225 (75-75-75).
 
Carnegie Mellon had one individual enter the invitational, as junior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) finished with the school's fourth-best 54-hole score of 218 (72-76-70). Mohan's round of two-under par 70 on Monday was a career-best.
