Tartans Tie for UAA Championship

(MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Wednesday in Miramar Beach, Florida, which is a four-team match play format. Following 21 holes between senior Brian Xu and Emory's Tony Li, a tie was declared due to darkness. Carnegie Mellon and Emory were both named UAA Champions.

  • Xu and Chan were named to the All-Tournament Team.
  • It marked the second straight year that the Tartans has won or had a share of the UAA Championship.
