(BOULDER CITY, Nev.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team opened play at the NCAA Preview Sunday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club on Desert Hawk-Coyote Run - 1 in Boulder City, Neveda. The Cardinal and Gray carded a 303 and are currently fourth in the 54-hole event after the first round.

How it Happened:

  • Junior Justin Chan led the Tartans on Sunday carding an even par round of 72. He is currently tied for fourth individually in a field of 90.
  • Sophomore David Zhang shot a three-over par 75.
  • Senior Brian Xu entered the clubhouse with a 77.
  • Graduate student Brian Li ended round one with a 79.
  • Freshman Steven Shea completed play on Monday with an 83.
