(BOULDER CITY, Nev.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team continued play at the 54-hole NCAA Preview Monday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club on Desert Hawk-Coyote Run - 2 in Boulder City, Neveda. The Cardinal and Gray are in second following the second round with a 36-hole score of 589 (303-286).

How it Happened:

  • Sophomore David Zhang entered the clubhouse on Monday with a three-under par 69 and has a 36-hole score of 144 (75-69). Zhang is currently third individually in a field of 90.
  • Junior Justin Chan followed his opening round on even par 72 with a one-over par 73 in round two. Chan is tied for fourth with a 145 (72-73).
  • Senior Brian Xu fired a one-over par 73 on Monday and will enter play Tuesday with a 150 (77-73).
  • Freshman Steven Shea improved 12 strokes from his first round to fire a one-under par 71 and has a 154 (83-71).
  • Graduate student Brian Li has a 36-hole score of 159 (79-80).
