Tartans Place Second at NCAA Preview
(BOULDER CITY, Nev.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team concluded play at the 54-hole NCAA Preview Tuesday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club on Desert Hawk-Coyote Run - 3 in Boulder City, Neveda. The Cardinal and Gray carded a 286 for the final round and placed tied for second with a 875 (303-286-286).

How it Happened:
- Junior Justin Chan carded his second round of even par 72 for the preview on Tuesday and placed 10th individually in a field of 90 with a 217 (72-73-72).
- Sophomore David Zhang fired a 219 (75-69-75) over the 54-hole event.
- An even par round of 72 for senior Brian Xu in round three was his best of the event, as he finished with a 222 (77-73-72).
- Freshman Steven Shea followed his second round of one-under par with a one-over par 73 to complete play. Shae finished with a 227 (83-71-73).
- Graduate student Brian Li carded his collegiate-best round Tuesday with a three-under par 69 and ended the preview with a 228 (79-80-69).
