Xu Garners Second Straight UAA Golfer of the Week Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – For the second consecutive week, senior Brian Xu of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Golf Athlete of the Week. This week, Xu garners the accolade following his performance in the 54-hole Jekyll Island Collegiate played at King and Prince Golf Course in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Xu helped the Tartans to a second-place team finish in a field of 30 teams at the collegiate. The senior placed tied for seventh individually in a field of 150 golfers after carding a three-over par 216 over the 54-hole event. Xu entered the clubhouse after the second round with a four-under par 67 for his best round of the tournament.

The Tartans will hit the links again on April 14-16 at The Shoals Intercollegiate being plated at RTJ Trail School Master Course in Florence, Alabama.
