Five Men’s Soccer Players Named to All-UAA Team

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team had five players named to the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Soccer All-Association Team following its third-place finish and Association record of 3-2-2. Headlining the team for the second year is senior William Webb (Dallas, Texas/J.J. Pearce), who received first-team recognition for the second time.

Joining Webb on the team is junior Tristan Lockwood (Fairport, N.Y./Victor) as a second-team honoree and seniors Greg Allen (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) and Stefan Dasbach (Philadelphia, Pa./Wissahickon), along with freshman Sean MacPherson (Palo Alto, Calif./Gunn) who all garnered honorable mention.

Webb currently leads the Tartans in goals scored with 13 and points with 31. He scored one goal during UAA competition and has three game winners for the season. Lockwood helps the Tartans control the midfield and has scored five goals on the season while registering two assists. This is his first honor from the Association's coaches.

Allen is a leader on defense for the Tartans from his center back position. The Tartans defense has recorded seven shutouts this season with two coming in UAA play. The honor is Allen's second for his career, as he received second-team honors last year.

Dasbach scored five goals for the Tartans and was a scoring threat in all the UAA games. He tallied his first career multi-goal game when he scored three against Allegheny College. MacPherson tallied three goals and three assists during the regular season with two goals coming in UAA play. He was honored as UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week in October following his performance against the University of Rochester and Emory University that resulted in ties.

The Tartans continue their season on Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. when they face Gordon College in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. The game will be played at Franklin & Marshall College.
