Tartans Selected to Host NCAA Men's Soccer First and Second Rounds

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship after finishing second in the University Athletic Association. The 21st-ranked Tartans have been selected to host the first and second rounds. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the 13th for the program and second straight under third-year head coach Brandon Bowman.

The Tartans will host a four-team regional on Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12. Joining Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh will be Ohio Wesleyan University (10-4-3), 16th-ranked Calvin College (18-2), and 11th-ranked Ohio Northern University (17-1-4).

The Tartans enter the NCAA Tournament with a 12-3-2 mark and will face Ohio Wesleyan in the first round while Calvin will face Ohio Northern in the other first round match.

Game times will be determined by Tuesday. The winners of each game will play on Saturday in a second round match.
