Masciopinto Receives UAA Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Sophomore Zack Masciopinto (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team was honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) as Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week following his play in scoring both goals in the Tartans' 2-0 win over Case Western Reserve University to close out the regular season.  
    
Masciopinto's first goal came in the second minute and he added an insurance goal in the 67th minute. With the tallies he took over the goals scored leaderboard with 13 for the season and eight in UAA play.
        
The Tartans will be back in action on Friday, November 7 when they host Ohio Wesleyan University in the First Round of the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. Game time is set for 11:00 a.m. on the Carnegie Mellon Soccer Field.
