Baugh Scores Two in Tartans' 3-0 Win at Juniata

(HUNTINGDON, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team scored three first-half goals and defeated Juniata College on the road Tuesday, September 26 by a 3-0 score. The Tartans are now 7-1-1 for the season while Juniata dropped to 4-3-1.

  • Senior Josh Baugh added to his senior year stat line with two goals, both coming in the first half.
  • Sophomore Brendan Schonwetter put in the game's first goal in the 11th minute.
  • Baugh then scored twice in the 13th minute and 18th minute.
  • Freshman Juanda Otero earned his first points of the season with an assist on Baugh's first goal.
  • Sophomore Liam Ryan made two saves in the first half, both coming with the Tartans leading 3-0.
  • The Tartans put two additional shots on frame in the second half.

Notes

  • Baugh, who scored his season-high fifth goal at Bethany on September 16, now has seven goals while scoring two goals in three games this year.
