Razanav Earns UAA Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University freshman Anton Razanav (San Diego, Calif./Westview) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for his performance over the weekend in dual meets against SUNY Geneseo and Westminster.  The freshman helped guide the Tartans to a 2-0 dual record with a 176-117 win against Geneseo and a 198-95 victory over Westminster.

Razanav won two events on Saturday with the first coming in the 100-yard backstroke in 54.85.  He then followed with a victory in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:56.99.

The Tartans return home on Saturday, January 28 for their senior meet to face Denison University. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
