Tartans Finish Competition at NCAA Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Four Carnegie Mellon University men swimmers finished competing at the 2012 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday, March 24.  The Tartans ended the championships claiming five All-America Honorable Mention distinctions.

On Saturday, the relay team of junior Daniel Glaser-Garbrick (Dayton, Ohio/Centreville), freshman Anton Razanav (San Diego, Calif./Westview), sophomore Austin Bohn (Annville, Pa./Annville-Cleona) and senior Matt Stanton (Richboro, Pa./Council) swam in the 400-yard freestyle relay and touched the wall with a time of 3:11.61.  Razanav also competed on Saturday in the 200-yard backstroke and finished with a time of 1:52.00 to complete his first appearance at the championships.

On Friday, Bohn, also his first appearance at the championships, swam in the 100-yard breast stroke and recorded a time of 58.71. Glaser-Garbrick competed in the 200-yard butterfly as well Friday and touched the wall in 1:53.12.

All four swimmers earned All-America Honorable Mention distinction on Thursday after placing 16th in the 400-yard medley relay.  That same day, Glaser-Garbrick earned the honor individually when he placed 15th in the 400-yard IM.
