Personal-Best Times Recorded at Last Chance Meets

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team sent one athlete to the Polar Bear Final Qualifier at Ohio Northern University and two athletes to the Tufts National Qualifying Meet. Following the University Athletic Association Championships and last chance meets, the Tartans expect to send several athletes to the NCAA Indoor Championships in North Carolina.

At Tufts, senior Liam Walsh (Gaithersburg, Md. / Quince Orchard) placed second in the mile run in a personal-best time of 4:14.36. In the 800-meter, sophomore Graham Eversden (Chandler, Ariz. / Chandler) placed fourth also in a personal-best time as he crossed in 1:53.56.

At Ohio Northern, senior Fred Dauphin (Brockton, Mass. / Cardinal Spellman) won the triple jump with 14.20 meters.

The Tartans will now wait to see the qualifying lists for the NCAA Indoor Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14. The list will be announced late Sunday night.
