Men’s Track and Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2023 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and Carnegie Mellon University was included on the list for the 27th consecutive year.
McGovern, Ivanov Named Academic All-Americans

Two Carnegie Mellon University men’s track and field athletes have been selected to the 2023 Academic All-America® men’s cross country and track and field team as selected by the College Sports Communicators for NCAA Division III. Juniors Andrew McGovern and Alex Ivanov each earned their first selection with McGovern named to the first team and Ivanov to the third team.
Tartans Place 15 on Golf and Cross Country and Track and Field Academic All-District Teams

Fifteen Carnegie Mellon University student-athletes were named to a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, nominated by members of CSC, for the golf and cross country and track and field seasons. College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) rebranded to CSC in the summer of 2022.

Carnegie Mellon Outdoor Track and Field Garners 28 USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Honors

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s track and field teams had 28 Mid-Atlantic All-Region honors awarded to its athletes by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2023 outdoor track and field season. Eighteen represent the men while 10 represent the women with four men receiving multiple honors and two women.

UAA Champs! Tartans Win Outdoor Track and Field Championship

The Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team won its fifth University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Championship on Sunday afternoon and first since 2017. The Tartans scored 171.5 points with Washington University in St. Louis scoring 165.5 points to take second. The two-day championship meet was hosted by the University of Chicago.
