Julien and Antonson Repeat as All-Academic Honorees from USTFCCCA

(NEW ORLEANS, La.) – Graduate student Josh Antonson (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) along with senior Marc-Daniel Julien (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team repeat as All-Academic honorees by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This marks the seventh consecutive season that the Tartans had at least two members garner the honor while the team earned honors once again.

Antonson, who graduated with a degree in electrical and computer engineering, is currently pursuing a master's in electrical and computer engineering and carries a 3.52 GPA.  Julien, who is a earning the honor for a third time, holds a 3.78 cumulative GPA in electrical and computer engineering.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average and must have finished among the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.

The team earned the award with a 3.24 cumulative average and has been honored since the USTFCCCA began the All-Academic program.
