Tartans Compete at First Day of Allegheny Invitational
(MEADVILLE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed at the first day of the 2015 Allegheny College Invitational on Sunday, September 27. The 36-hole event is being played at the par 73 Country Club of Meadville. The Tartans are currently in sixth place following day one of action after carding a team score of 366.
Sophomore Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) led the Tartans and currently is tied for fourth individually following her round of 80 on Sunday. Senior Yoon Hee Ha (Tigard, Ore.) carded a career-best round of 93 while freshman Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) entered the clubhouse with a 95.
Sophomore Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) finished with a 98 and classmate Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) shot a 108.
The Tartans had one individual enter the invitational, as Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) shot a 108.
Round two begins Monday morning with tee times beginning at 8:20 a.m.
