Tartans Win Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate, Wang Wins Individual Medalist
(MONTGOMERY, Ala.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play at the 36-hole Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Monday. The Tartans fired a team score of 290 for the second consecutive round to win the event with a 36-hole score of 580 (290-290).

How it Happened:
- Freshman Samantha Wang led the Tartans as she carded a four-under par 68 for a 36-hole score of 138 (-6) (70-68). Wang earned individual medalist honors amongst a field of 75 golfers. Wang sank a 25-foot putt on hole 18 to secure the one-stroke team victory for the Tartans.
- Junior Sriya Mupparaju fired a one-under par 71 on Monday and finished with a 143 (-1) (72-71) placing her tied for fourth individually.
- Senior Alexis Sudjianto tied for eighth with a 36-hole score of 146 (72-74).
- Freshman Nikita Jadhav had a score of 155 (76-79) for the two-day event.
- Junior Kaylin Yeoh ended the event with a 156 (79-77).
Notes:
- Wang's score of 138 (-6) ties the school record for lowest individual 36-hole total in the program's history. She ties Mupparaju who also scored a 138 (-6) in 2021 at the same event.
- Wang's four-under 68 on Monday tied for third lowest round in program history.
- Mupparaju's score of 143 (-1) is the fourth lowest individual 36-hole total in the program's history.
- The Tartans 36-hole score of 580 (+4) is the second lowest two-round in program history.
- The Tartans round of 290 (+2) ranks as the fourth best single-round in program history.
