Tartans Win Savannah Invitational; Wang Claims Individual Medalist
(SAVANNAH, Ga.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team completed play at the 36-hole Savannah Invitational on Tuesday hosted by Berry College. The Tartans carded a team score of one-under par 287 in the final round and took first with a 583 (296-287).

How it Happened:
- Freshman Samantha Wang led the Tartans with a 142 (72-70) following her second-round score of two-under par 70. Wang tied for the individual medalist in a field of 97 golfers.
- Graduate student Alexis Sudjianto fired a one-under par 71 Tuesday and finished with a 143 (72-71), placing tied for third.
- Junior Sriya Mupparaju recorded her second straight round of one-over par 73 for a 36-hole score of 146 (73-73).
- Sophomore Sense Sangkagoon finished the invite with a 152 (79-73).
- Senior Denise Pan fired a 161 (80-81).
- Two individuals competed for the Tartans with sophomore Wenna Zhang carding a 149 (74-75) and freshman Nikita Jadhav 156 (78-78).
Notes:
- Wang's score of 142 (-2) is the fourth lowest individual 36-hole total in the program's history.
- Sudjianto's score of 143 (-1) is tied for the fifth lowest individual 36-hole total in the program's history.
- The Tartans 36-hole score of 583 (+7) is the third lowest two-round in program history.
- The Tartans round of 287 (-1) is the fourth best single-round in program history.
