Wang Honored at UAA Women’s Golfer of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Freshman Samantha Wang of the Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week following her play at the Savannah Invitational on March 11 and 12.

Wang led the Tartans to a 22-stroke victory at the 18-team 36-hole event. She claimed her second individual medalist honors of the season amongst a field of 97 golfers with a two-under par 142 (72-70).

The Tartans hit the links again on March 25-26 when they compete in The Capitol Hill Classic at The Senator at RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill in Prattville, Alabama.
