Bio
Jason Li joined the Carnegie Mellon University golf staff as the first full time assistant coach in February 2024.
Li returns to Carnegie Mellon following a stellar playing career for the Tartans from 2017-21 as well as a part time assistant coach during the fall of 2021. He was a two-time finalist for the NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award, was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Golfer of the Year in 2020, was a four-time All-UAA selection and three-time PING All-American. Li was also named UAA Rookie of the Year following the 2017-18 season.
Li was a first team College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America honoree, formerly named College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He is also a two-time Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholar.
Li still holds the record for the lowest 54-hole tournament score in program history with a 12-under par 204 that he set at The Savannah Invitational in 2020.
