Adams Named UAA Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Junior forward Haili Adams (Kirkland, Wash./Juanita) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received University Athletic Association (UAA) recognition as she was named the UAA Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, September 27. Adams scored three goals for Carnegie Mellon in a 2-0-1 week.

The Tartans opened the week with a 2-0 win at Baldwin Wallace College where Adams had one shot on goal. On Friday evening at John Carroll University, Adams scored the tying goal in the 84th minute helping the Tartans earn the tie in a game they struggled to find the net with 11 other shots on goal. Adams road that momentum into Sunday where she scored twice to lead the Tartans to a 2-1 win against Allegheny College at home.

The Tartans begin UAA play on Saturday, October 1 when ninth-ranked Brandeis University visits Pittsburgh for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
