(WALTHAM, Mass.) – The top-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team opened University Athletic Association (UAA) play with a 1-0 victory at No. 18 Brandeis University on Saturday, September 30. The Tartans improve to 11-0 while the Judges drop to 5-1-3.
Inside The Box Score
- The Tartans fired off 12 shots for the game with seven on goal, while allowing just one on goal by the Judges.
- Junior Emma Shirzad put in the game's only goal in the 40th minute when she made a run to the 6-yard box and finished a diagonal cross by junior Rachel Martini.
