Xu Earns Third UAA Swimmer of the Week Award

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Freshman Savannah Xu earned her third University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Swimmer of the Week award in her first meet following the team's training trip in Florida.

Xu won three events in a double-dual meet against Denison University and Calvin University on Saturday, January 21. Xu won the 100-yard backstroke in 57.14, the 200-yard backstroke in 2:03.91, and the 400-yard IM in 4:30.03. This is the second time this season that Xu has won three events at a single meet.

Xu and the rest of the Carnegie Mellon swimmers will next hit the pool on Saturday, January 21 at home in a time trials event starting at 12:00 p.m.
