Tartans Host Quad Meet Days After Training Trip

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team began the second semester with a quad meet at home against Calvin University, Denison University, and Johns Hopkins University on Saturday, January 13 two days after returning from its training trip to Florida.

Top Performances

  • Sophomore Savannah Xu touched first in the 100-yard backstroke for the fourth time this season, winning with a time of 57.40.
  • Xu later finished second in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:04.11
  • Xu closed the meet with a second-place showing in the 200-yard IM in 2:08.33.
  • Sophomore Audrey Soetanto placed fifth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:08.68.
