Cecil and Pratt Selected to NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - Carnegie Mellon University junior Katie Cecil (Huntington Beach, Calif./Ocean View) and sophomore Angela Pratt (Saratoga, Calif./St. Francis) have been selected to compete at the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships when the respective fields were announced today by the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Committee.

Cecil, the Tartans No. 1 singles player, will play for the singles championship while she'll pair with Pratt to play for the doubles championship.

As a singles player, Cecil has amassed a record of 14-6 this season, defeating five opponents from nationally ranked teams. The junior has paired with Pratt to win 11 of 16 matches and five against ranked teams.

The draw for both tournaments will be released on the last day of the team championship, May. 22, with the championships set to take place May 23 through May 25 at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
