Cecil Ends Season In National Quarterfinals

(KALAMAZOO, Mich.) - Junior Katie Cecil (Huntington Beach, Calif./Ocean View) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team saw her season come to an end Friday, May 24, as the junior fell in the quarterfinals of singles play at the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. This year's championships are being held at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

After winning two matches on Thursday in straight sets, Cecil ran into the second-seed Lok-Sze Leung of Middlebury and dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision on Friday morning.  Cecil ends the season as an All-America with a record of 16-8.
