#9 Tartans Conclude Regular Season with Setback at Kenyon

(GAMBIER, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team, ranked ninth nationally, traveled to Gambier, Ohio Sunday afternoon and left with a 5-1 setback to Kenyon College. The Tartans conclude their regular season slate with a record of 11-5.

How it Happened:

  • Kenyon took two of three points in doubles play.
  • The Tartans lone point of the match came at second doubles with the sophomore tandem of Divya Venkatarama and Anna Chow winning 8-2.
  • When play was stopped once the Lords sealed the victory, senior Danna Taylor and Venkatarama were both in a third set.

Next Up

  • The Tartans will next travel to Altamonte Springs, Florida, for the UAA Championship with play set to begin on Friday, April 26. The draw for the tournament will be released on Monday, April 22.
