Guevel's School Record and Championship Highlight UAA Indoor Championships

(NEW YORK, N.Y.) – Freshman Jacqueline Guevel (Dallas, Texas/The Hockaday School) set a school record on her way to a University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in the 60-meter hurdles as the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team finished sixth at the UAA Indoor Championships in New York City.

Guevel was in the final of two races on Sunday, winning the 60-meter hurdles in a school record 8.77 seconds. She finished third, also earning All-UAA honors in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.94 seconds.

Senior Ivana Moses (New Rochelle, N.Y./Phillips Exeter) earned All-UAA third team in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 11.02 meters while sophomore Jane Kim (Clifton, Va./Centreville) and Samantha Oleson (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) earned points for the Tartans in the shot put career marks. Kim finished fifth with a mark of 10.20 meters while Oleson was sixth with a mark of 10.11 meters.
