Tartans Compete in Dave Labor Invitational
(SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon women's track and field team competed in the Dave Labor Invitational on Saturday April 6.
Top Performances on the Track
- Senior Isabella Rhee placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.86. Senior Emily Lannen followed with a time of 1:02.72, placing seventh place.
- Sophomore Jacqueline Liu placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.83.
- Junior Avery Tompkins finished fourth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 18:40.40. Freshman Ananya Devpura finished shortly after with a time of 19:05.97, placing sixth.
- The Tartans placed fourth in the 4x400-meter relay. Sophomore Zoe King, senior Emily Lannen, junior Sunny Tang, and Rhee finished in a time of 4:11.01.
- Sophomore Margaret Ann Healy placed seventh in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:55.98.
Top on the Field
- Senior JoJo Huczko placed seventh in pole vault, reaching a mark of 3.30 meters.
- Junior Jocelyn Kiefel placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.89 meters.
Up Next
The Tartans will travel to New Wilmington, Pa to compete in the Westminster College Invitational. Competition will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12.
