Bio

Patrick Kimball joined the Carnegie Mellon University track and field program in the fall of 2023 as an assistant coach, primarily focusing on the hurdles and sprints.

Kimball graduated from the University of Akron in 2021. He received his bachelor’s degree in multi-age physical education. He competed for the University of Akron men’s track & field team from 2017 to 2021 as a short hurdle specialist. Kimball competed his final (covid) year at the University of Kentucky. His athletic accolades consist of 2019 indoor and outdoor MAC titles in the 60-meter and 110-meter hurdles and 2021 MAC indoor 60-meter hurdles champion.

As a team, University of Akron earned the 2019 indoor and outdoor team championship titles and 2020 indoor team title. Kimball also qualified for the 2019 and 2021 NCAA East preliminary rounds in the 110-meter hurdles. He was a qualifier for the 2020 USATF Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the 60-meter hurdles. Academically, he earned a 2019 All-Academic award from the USTFCCCA and is a multiple academic All-MAC honoree.

After competing in his final year at the University of Kentucky, he accepted a job as the assistant director of operations at Villanova University, working under Coach Anthony Williams, coach of sprints, jumps and hurdles.

Kimball is a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh.
