Schnepf Races Well in 280 Person NCAA Field

(HANOVER, Ind.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Rekha Schnepf (McLean, Va./Thomas Jefferson HS for Sci. & Tech) took to the cross country course at Hanover College on Saturday, November 23 for the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships. She was the first individual to compete on the national stage for the Tartans since the 2011 season.

Schnepf, a 2013 All-Mideast Region runner, finished the 6k course in 23:16.7 which placed her 189th overall in the 280 person field.

Johns Hopkins University won the team championship while Chelsea Johnson of St. Scholastica won the race in a time of 21:11.7.
