Tartans Compete at Panther Opener to Start 2022 Season
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team opened its 2022 campaign at the Panther Opener at Schenley Park near campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Friday morning. The Tartans scored 67 points and placed third on the 5k course.

Results:
- Junior Sophia Zalewski crossed first for the Tartans and 10th overall in 19:09.2
- Senior Mona Yuan took 11th in 19:13.9
- In 14th was freshman Margaret Ann Healy in 19:23.4
- Rounding out the scoring for the Cardinal and Gray were sophomores Alyssa Hoffman in 15th and Lauryn McKenna in 19th crossing in 19:29.0 and 19:44.7
