Tartans Host Invitational, Place Seventh

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team hosted its annual Carnegie Mellon University Invitational on Saturday, October 8 in Schenley Park. The Tartans placed seventh with nine runners competing on the 5k course.

Results:

  • Junior Megan Baker led the Tartans with a time of 19:52.8 to place 19th overall.
  • Sophomores Lauren May and Norah Czajka crossed the finish line 31st and 32nd overall in times of 20:23.7 and 20:24.0.
  • Junior Carina Sanborn was fourth for the Tartans in a time of 20:27.4.
  • Sophomore Avery Tompkins placed fifth for the Tartans and 70th overall in 21:22.0.
