Tartans Awarded Bid to 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team received an at-large invitation to the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, marking the fifth straight bid for the Tartans. This year's race will be hosted at Forest Akers in Lansing, Michigan on Saturday, November 19. The team appearance marks the eighth in program history.

Carnegie Mellon received the invite after placing second at the Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday, November 12. Three Tartans finished in the top 35 to earn all-region accolades with graduate student Kristen Seballos leading the team with a fifth-place finish.

The Tartans received one of 22 at-large bids and will join the field of 32 in Michigan. The Tartans placed 18th at last year's championship, the highest finish under head coach Tim Connelly who has led the Tartans to five championship appearances in eight years at the helm.

The women's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET with the men's race following at 12:00 p.m. ET.
