Patel Leads Tartans at Annual Invitational, Tartans Place First

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team placed first overall at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday morning. The Tartans scored 60 points and placed first in the 5k course.

  • Freshman Alaina Patel finished first for the Tartans for the first time in her career and seventh overall in 19:46.90.
  • In her career first Carnegie Mellon Invite race, freshman Ananya Devpura was close behind, finishing eighth in 19:51.10
  • Senior Megan Baker finished 13th with a time of 20:26.20
  • Junior Mia Constantin crossed in 20:37.40 to place 15th.
  • Junior Hayley Kilgore finished 17th in 20:45.70
  • Freshman Adelaide Hall finished 26th in 21:13.90 in her first career Carnegie Mellon Invite race.  
  • Junior Norah Czajka crossed with a time of 21:31.20.
