Jonathan Spero is currently an Associate with BelHealth Investment Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm in New York.

Prior to joining BelHealth in March 2015, Spero worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking division of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta. He began his career working in the Corporate Finance division of Schneider Downs in Pittsburgh after earning his Bachelor of Science from Tepper in 2010.

Spero was a four-year starter and two-year captain on the men's tennis team at CMU. During his senior year, the team finished #8 in the country and made the only NCAA Quarterfinal appearance in school history. Spero hopes this will change in the near future. He has stayed very close to the team, even serving as a volunteer assistant coach during his post-college years in Pittsburgh. In March 2016, he established the Dr. Joel Spero and Dr. Janet Amico Endowed Tennis Fund in memory of his parents.

A native of Pittsburgh, Spero grew up a few blocks from CMU's campus and attended Shady Side Academy. He currently lives in the East Village section of Manhattan and plays doubles on weekends with his former college teammates.
