Tartan Women’s Basketball Releases 2020-21 Roster

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – While the 2020-21 season has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carnegie Mellon University head women's basketball coach Jacquie Hullah, who is in her 10th year at the helm of the Tartans, has released the roster for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Below are a few facts about the makeup of the 16-member women's basketball team.

Class Years: Juniors (4); Sophomores (3); Newcomers (9)

Natives Of: California (4); Illinois (1); Maryland (2); Michigan (1); New Jersey (4); Ohio (1); Pennsylvania (1); Taiwan (1); Virginia (1)

College of Study: College of Fine Arts (1); College of Engineering (7); Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences (7); Tepper School of Business (1)

Notes:

  • Last season, the Tartans led the UAA in steals per game and ranked 38th nationally. The Cardinal and Gray also held the top two spots in the UAA individually in steals per game. Makayla Filiere, who graduated last season, recorded 3.3 steals per game with returner Leah Weslock tabbing 1.7 steals per game.
  • The Tartans return two of their top three scorers from a year ago in Leah Weslock (10.1 ppg) and Caitlyn Clendenin (9.8 ppg). Clendenin also led the Tartans with 7.8 rebounds per game while Weslock was second averaging 5.9.
  • Following her freshman campaign, Leah Weslock was named to the All-UAA team as an honorable mention selection.
