Clendenin, Or Receive All-UAA Recognition

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Caitlyn Clendenin (Bethesda, Md. / Bethesda Chevy Chase) and freshman Catherine Or (Los Angeles, Calif. / Marlborough School) represent the Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team as selections to the All-University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Basketball Team. The Tartans finished the regular season with a 12-11 record and 6-8 UAA mark, sweeping three UAA opponents.

Both Clendenin and Or were selected to the second team and are honored for the first time by the league coaches.

Or leads the team in nearly every category and recorded six double-doubles so far this season. The first-year Tartan averages 14.4 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game, 3.6 assists per game and 2.1 steals per game. Or's shooting percentage of 49.6% is second in the UAA while her points per game leads all freshmen and ranks fifth in the league.

Clendenin averages 13.0 points per game with 8.6 rebounds per game and had five double-doubles this year. The forward's shooting percentage of 47.4% is a career-best and is eighth in the UAA.

Together, Or and Clendenin ranked first and second in rebounds per game for the UAA in UAA only contests.

The season continues for the Tartans as they earned the program's fourth Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) bid and will host Kean University on Wednesday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m.
