Kaku Earns UAA Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Machika Kaku (Irvine, Calif./University) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Diving Athlete of the Week for her performance over the weekend as the Tartans defeated Case Western Reserve 183-115.  
    
Kaku scored 263.65 points on the 1-meter diving board to win the event and finished second on the 3-meter board with a score of 237.70 in her first competition of the season.

The Tartans will be home next weekend on Saturday, November 1 to host Clarion University at 11:00 a.m.
